Bill's story of trial and triumph began in 2003, when his wife's disease thrust him into the world of single parenting. Bill has had to navigate both he and his children through extremely difficult times. Not only did his separation and inevitable divorce have an impact on his entire family, but the unexpected death of his wife in 2007 also tested Bill's ability to deal with anxiety, fear, and the loss of a loved one. Needless to say, Bill has seen it all as a single parent. Instead of letting these negatives consume his thoughts, Bill has taken a proactive approach to his life.
For his ongoing work and dedication in these areas, Bill has won the prestigious State Farm Insurance Companies "Embrace Life Award" presented annually to only thirteen individuals in the U.S. and Canada.
